The Vineyards Residence is a state-of-the-art five storey, 134-suite residence, offering specialized, enhanced assisted living and memory care services to the Okanagan region.
The residence is designed so that it is broken up into distinct cottages, or neighbourhoods, each with only 16 or 17 suites. Activity/common areas are located at the centre of every neighbourhood, so that dining and activities are only ever a few doors away. This also creates a "small home environment" that allows for relationships with a smaller number of neighbours and caregivers, to support structure and familiarity.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered for the position, you must have a current Practicing Nursing License with BCCNP in good standing, a Criminal Record Check, WHIMIS, and a current First Aid Certificate. Experience working with residents with dementia/Alzheimer's is preferred, as is a Practical Nurse Program graduation with a dementia component or equivalent training and experience. Job duties include medication administration, supervision of medication, encouraging independence, leading the care team, ensuring adequate nutrition, completing electronic documentation, providing companionship and engagement, performing clerical duties, and demonstrating knowledge of safety. COVID-19 precautions include remote interviews, PPE, temperature screenings, social distancing, virtual meetings, and sanitizing procedures. All offers of employment are subject to a Criminal Background Check. Start date: as soon as available.

Dilys Consulting is a provider of recruitment and staffing services to Healthcare and Seniors' Living organizations across Canada. We're currently seeking 2 Licensed Practical Nurses for our client. The position is 4 on, 4 off rotation, from 1830 to 0630, with a starting wage of $34/hour (with additional $1/hour increases after year 1, 2, and 3). The Vineyards Residence is a 134-suite residence with large suites, in-suite laundry, Surgically Clean Air, memory boxes, a 5-storey glass atrium, an in-house restaurant, a gym, therapy rooms, a large bus for outings, balconies with expansive views, and a café. We're looking for team members who will always go the extra mile to ensure our residents have a sense of purpose and belonging, and who are willing to think outside the box to provide the best care.
