With construction on schedule and recruitment in full swing, Silverstone is dedicated to providing a vibrant and community-style living environment. Comprising of 2 houses per neighbourhood grouping, each house features 16 private bedrooms, a dedicated dining area, and a comfortable TV lounge. Additional amenities include a bathing spa, library, bistro-events room, hair salon, family games lounge, and a central courtyard. With a strong focus on personalization, all 128 bedrooms come with ensuite washrooms and essential furniture. The care home is licensed under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act, ensuring safety and quality as top priorities. Silverstone is proud to collaborate with Vancouver Coastal Health and be an integral part of BC’s Funded Healthcare System.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience in long-term care with leadership or supervisory roles.
• Current Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
• Proficiency in resident assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making.
• Experience with Point Click Care and Microsoft Office tools.
• Familiarity with education tools and e-learning platforms is an asset.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role.

Sechelt is an idyllic coastal town known for its charm, great beaches, year-round outdoor activities, and vibrant arts and culture scene.
Responsibilities:
As the Director of Care, you will be a seasoned clinician with expertise in gerontological nursing and a strong commitment to evidence-based best practices. Key responsibilities include:
• Implementing person and family-centered care practices.
• Managing complex care needs of residents in alignment with cultural pillars.
• Ensuring compliance with policies and applicable legislation.
• Creating a safe and healthy workplace environment.
• Building and leading a high-performing care team.
• Collaborating with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team to customize care plans.
• Monitoring safety as a priority and initiating necessary improvements.
• Responding to emergencies, including after-hours attendance on-site if required.
• Managing all care-related service costs in adherence to budget.
